Ready to dive into the world of sewing? Our hands-on class will guide you through creating a stylish and functional tote bag from start to finish. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is perfect for anyone eager to learn the basics of sewing while crafting a practical accessory.

You can make laptop cover 15” and 13”, iPad cover 13” and 11”, and e-reader cover 7”. If you have other ideas please let us know the dimensions beforehand.

WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?

This class is suitable for begin. You don’t need to have ever used a sewing machine before, or might have sewed a while ago and want to remind yourself of the basic skills. It will also work for more confident sewers who wants to spend time with likeminded people and create a fun tote bag.

WHAT WILL THIS COURSE COVER?

  1. Introduction to Sewing Machines: Learn the basic functions and how to use them effectively.

  2. Cutting Fabric: Understand how to measure and cut fabric accurately.

  3. Sewing Techniques: Basic stitches, seam allowances, and finishing techniques.

  4. Assembly: Step-by-step instructions to quilt put your case together.

  5. Troubleshooting: Tips and tricks to handle common sewing issues.

STUDENTS NEED TO BRING:

Fabric 1m of fabric, or 2 fabric choices, if you want to have diferent colour of the inside. Bias binding (folded).

Medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton and canvas, denim or cotton drill would work well.

Thread, sewing machine, scissors, sewing kit, wadding, pattern will be provided.

The workshop will take place in our manufactory situated at Design District area, just outside of North Greenwich station. The area is full of food stalls, bars and live music events in the evening and weekends.

This class is suitable for 18+ only.
